| Every bloke of my age and over who was brought up on a farm knows
this little tractor very well indeed. Every farm had one. Originally
they started to replace horses after the second war. They were light,
clever and handy and had a full range of implements designed to fit. As
mechanised farming developed and the Grey Fergie was no longer powerful
enough to pull the newer, bigger machines they were used for lighter
work and as in my case given to the lad to use. This is from a part work on tractors and farm machinery. The series is just too expensive to buy in the normal way so I'll be looking out for these at toy fairs. |
