| More from my children's toybox. This is a model of a car which served their Mum for many years. We bought our first 'Supercinq' - the new body shape Renault 5 in 1986 and it was the first new car I ever bought. It replaced an 8 year old 2CV with holes in the floor and the boot lid come off so was a real step forward for my wife. Three years later our first child turned up and we replaced the base model, 2 door 950cc we had with a 1.4 litre GTS four door with all the extras. That was an excellent car, one of the best we've ever had. We kept it 12 years at the end of which the interior still looked excellent - given it was transport for three very messy kids for all that time, the electric windows and locking all worked - everything, and we got £500 for it. |
