Berliet TLM/TLR Truck
Last Edit: 14/08/2022
In 1974 Corgi Toys added another prime mover to their truck fleet. This time its a French Berliet TLM, this truck survived beyond the Mettoy years and returned in 1997 as part of the Corgi Heritage export range
1102 Discharge Dumper
Discharge Dumper in this case means that the bulker trailer does not tip, but has a release mechanism underneath to allow its load to empty from the bottom. The trailer body is plastic and the whole model has a fragile, poorly made feel to it. The Berliet TLM and Crane Fruehauf Discharge Dumper trailer was added to the range in May 1974 and remained in production until 1976.
1144 Wrecker Truck
Here the Berliet artic cab unit gets the Holmes Wrecker back body from the Ford H Series bringing the heavy wrecker truck in line with the current castings. This truck was released in March 1975 and deleted from the Corgi range in 1978. It is found with a metallic red cab or non-metallic red cab.
