Ford Gran Torino

This is the Gran Torino from Starsky & Hutch, that favourite seventies TV cop show.

Corgi Toys Ford Torino Starsky and Hutch (292) was released in October 1977 and was withdrawn in 1982. There should be plastic figures of our heroes and a suspect being arrested, the car has a big white stripe that goes along the sides and over the roof just like the real thing. There are no variations to the model but there are two versions of the box, the box with graphics being more highly valued, however any boxed example with all the figures is always going to be sought after and worth a good price. Unboxed examples inevitably have lost the figures and frequently lost the stripe too which is actually a big plastic sticker and very precarious.

There have been two post-Mettoy Corgi Classics releases which are a whole lot better, better figures, more detail and better finish.
