Volvo BM 860TC Concrete Mixer

The Volvo BM 860 TC was an all terrain 6x6 articulated truck chassis on which could be mounted a range of load carrying bodies, usually an earth dumper for use in quarrying and road construction. Here Corgi Toys have chosen to add a concrete mixer drum.

In January 1977 it was added to the Corgi Toys catalogue in yellow with a red mixer barrel (1156). It remained in the range until 1979. It was re-released in new colours (orange & white) in June 1980 using the same model number, I have yet to find one of these.

I have found one post-Mettoy release from 2000, there may be more.
