Corgi Toys GS38; Monte Carlo Set

Corgi Toys got behind the Monte Carlo Rally here featuring the British Rover & BMC Mini entries and a Citroen DS from France in the 1965 rally. The models included are:

• 321 Mini Cooper S

• 322 Rover 2000

• 323 Citroen DS21

The Mini Cooper S is the 1965 winning car driven by Timo Makinen with Paul Easter as co-driver. The Rover 2000 was driven to 6th place overall by Roger Clark with co-driver Jim Porter, behind Clark's Rover in 7th place was Bob Neyret and Jacques Terramorsi in their Citroen DS21. This set is rare, sought after and valuable, especially boxed with all the packing pieces.

The group shots were taken in November 2011 using cars then in my collection and since sold.
