Corgi Toys 305; Triumph TR3; Metallic Light Green

This is in effect a face-lift on the Triumph TR2 from 1956. The full size Triumph TR3 was launched in 1957 and by 1960 was its self getting a bit long in the tooth, being as it was little more than a TR2 with up rated brakes and a new grille, so the Corgi update was more than due by now. Still, this is a very pretty model and makes an excellent pair with the MGA.

Corgi released this model in October 1960 and it remained in production until 1963, always in metallic green with red seats. Ramsay mentions a 305s with suspension running from 1962 to 1963 and available in pale green or cream, this is a model I can find referenced nowhere else. However there are not too many of these around and a good one will cost you a lot of money
