Matchbox/Lesney 34f; Chevy Pro-Stocker; White, Unpainted Base, Rn34 Tampo; Lesney Superfast

A model from the end of the Lesney years that carried on into the post-Lesney Matchbox period. The Chevrolet Prostocker, apparently based on a '75 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, was released in 1981. Most of the Lesney production was white with either no tampos or blue tampos consisting of blocking and stripes with RN 34. Some have no tampos and the base can be unpainted or red. Look for the tampos and a red base. There is a green version mentioned in Ramsay - and the value is very high, but it is not mentioned anywhere else and may be a pro-production prototype.

After Lesney stopped trading production continued under new ownership for a period and there are a number of variations known.
