Matchbox/Lesney 37a; Karrier Bantam Coca-Cola Lorry (no base); Orange-Yellow, Uneven Crates, Metal Wheels

There are two versions of the Karrier Bantam Coca-Cola truck. This is the first 37a. It is easy to tell them apart as 37a has no baseplate 37b has one. There is also a size difference, 37b is slightly larger than 37a. There are also two versions of 37a. On some of them the crates on the back are in even lines, on others, probably the early releases, the crates are uneven. I'm guessing that they were difficult to remove from the dies leading to a change of casting. The uneven load trucks always have metal wheels and yellow or orange-yellow bodywork. The even load models can have metal wheels or grey plastic wheels and can be either yellow or orange-yellow.
