The Bedford S Low Loader comes in two sizes, this is the first, smaller version being 78mm in length. The 27a version was released in 1956 and remained in production until 1958 when it was replaced by 27b which looks more or less the same but is longer at 95mm. The 27a truck comes in three broad versions: blue cab & blue trailer, blue cab & tan trailer, green cab & tan trailer.
The 27a to look for though is the blue one, blue with blue trailer is the really high value one but the blue with tan trailer is still a lot rarer and more valuable than the green & tan one.
