Matchbox/Lesney 48g; Mercedes-Benz Unimog Snowplough; Yellow, Yellow Blade

A model of the third generation Unimog, the 435 series introduced in the mid seventies, with the addition of a snowplough blade. It is always yellow with a black chassis. You may see it though with the plastic snowplough blade in yellow, white or black.

The Unimog (48f) was released in 1983 and continued after the Matchbox brand was sold on. The Lesney version is yellow with a black or yellow base the snowplough blade can be white, yellow or black. It is most commonly found with a yellow blade, a white blade slightly harder to find and a black blade more so and worth a little bit of money.
