This is one of the models that was released at the time of the Lesney winding up in 1982, and according to all the sources I can find the Lesney release was a US only export issue, so what was it doing at a car boot sale in an Oxfordshire field?
The Lesney version was only ever silver metallic with a white plastic rear tilt. The tampos are black & yellow with Big Foot in black text. After Matchbox Toys Ltd took on the brand the truck remained in production in Macau with some new colours and tampo designs and presumably sold in the UK as well as the US.
