Matchbox/Lesney 69f; Willys 1933 Street Rod; White, Yellow & Pink, 'Pro Street'

The Willys street rod was one of a handful of models released right at the end of the Lesney years which were a departure in being models of older cars, not contemporary models. Although while some of these models were normal road car versions, this is definitely a hot rod with oversized rear wheels and an exposed, plated engine.

It was only released into the Lesney range in the US and only in white with flame tampos. However it remained in the range after the ownership of the brand changed in 1983 and a dozen or so colour variations are known after this date.

This Matchbox/Lesney was sourced in May 2012 from eBay, it is a post-Lesney release
