The Boss Mustang, 44d, was released in 1972 and remained in the range until the brand crashed in 1983. For most of its production it was as you see below in yellow with a black bonnet and unpainted or silver painted base. Later releases were green with Cobra decals (US) and orange with The Boss or 5 on decals. No version attracts any premium to speak of.
This Matchbox was sourced in April 2017 from a private collection, it was sold in December 2017 via eBay for £0.99
