Matchbox/Lesney 56f; Peterbilt Tanker; Milk's The One

Looking at Ramsey's guide it appears that this was a very late release in the Lesney range, in 1982 and was a US only issue as a milk tanker. The ones we see in the UK are always post Lesney, most of the ones I see are the Shell version. It always strikes me as a heck of a lot of truck for such a small tank - it must have started life as an artic tractor unit.

The website mb-db.co.uk has about thirty variations on this model, there are just loads of them in all sorts of liveries.

This Matchbox/Lesney was sourced in August 2017 from a private collection, although the same version as the late Lesney product, this one is made in Macau, by Matchbox International.
