Matchbox 2c; Muir Hill Dumper Truck With Cab; Laing
Here is the third of three site dumpers in the number 2 slot.
Again it is a little bit larger than its predecessor and this time it
has a cab and a protective cover to prevent the driver getting his head
bashed in by a clumsy digger driver doing the loading. This version was
released in 1962 and was replaced in the range in 1967.
The wheels are always black plastic but the sticker on the door can be
Laing or Muir Hill. Laing being a large building company and Muir Hill
being the firm who made the dumpers. There are only 72 of the Muir Hill
option known so they are scarce as scarce can be. |
