Matchbox/Lesney 58e; Faun Dump Truck; Yellow, Yellow Dump (Superfast)

Very small scale model of a truly enormous dump truck, shame you can see daylight through the front wheel arches.

The Faun Dump Truck, 58e, was the last Lesney to hold number 58, being released in 1976 and staying in production long after Lesney went out of business. The Lesney version is all die-cast and the new Mattel ones have a plastic dump - but it is still the same truck.

There are two Lesney versions to look out for - yellow with a red dump or all yellow with 'CAT' badging. These apart there must be a couple of dozen variants of the post Lesney item out there with new ones coming along all the time.
