Matchbox 17e; AEC Horse Box

The transitional model at number 17 is 17e, the AEC Horse Box. It was released in 1969, in 1970 the wheels were changed to Superfast and it remained in the range until 1971.

It can be seen with red, orange-red, orange or yellow cabs. red and yellow cabs have a dark green box, the rest have grey boxes. Doors can be grey or brown. None of these is rare but the early Superfasts in the old regular wheels colours of red cab, green box and grey door can fetch a small premium.
