Matchbox 41e; Ford F150 Ambulance

I call this a Ford F-150 as that is what I guess it is based upon, but officially it is just 'Ambulance' and sits at number 41e in the Lesney range. It first saw the light of day in 1978 and remained in the range until 1981. After the brand was sold on in 1983 the model was revived and there are a number of post Lesney versions around.

There are a number of variations in the Lesney releases none of which are rare. You will see it mostly in white and there are some red (German) and silver (French - Paris-Dakar) versions. There are also a number of sticker variations and colours of interior (white, grey or yellow) and colours of plastic rear doors. Look out for silver Paris Dakar versions and and labels saying 'Pacific Ambulance Emergency 101' on white bodywork.
