Matchbox 11d; Mercedes-Benz Scaffold Truck

I have always thought that this was a terrible effort, really bad in terms of concept and execution. It is recognisably a Bedford TM cab but beyond that it has nothing to recommend it in terms either of modelling, styling or play value. It is just dull and misses the point completely about car transporters, the whole point is to load and unload them.

The Car Transporter number 11f, was released in 1977 with an orange chassis/cab in 1980 the colour was changed to red and it remained in the range until 1983 when it appears to have continued for a little while under the new ownership as variants with grey back bodies and grey plastic baseplates are known.

There are no rare versions and this model does not appear to attract any premium on its price. Usually there is one red, one yellow and one blue car, variations exist but do not affect the price.
