Matchbox 9d; Cabin Cruiser & Trailer

This is a long-lived model. It was first released on regular wheels in blue and white. Post the Superfast conversion the colours remained the same and after it was deleted from the core range the model had a couple of comebacks in twin-pack sets in other colours right up to 1982. These later releases are still mostly blue and white with some having black superstructures and black trailers.

The Boat and Trailer (9d) was released in 1966. It had a blue and white boat on a blue trailer with black plastic wheels. There are no listed variations to the regular wheels version. In 1970 it was converted to Superfast and the trailer was sometimes dark blue and sometimes light blue. It was deleted from the core range in 1972.

From 1975-1983 it was part of a number of twin-packs, some with a white hull and light blue deck and trailer and in 1982 there was a twin pack version with a black deck on the boat which came with a light or dark blue or black trailer.

The regular wheels version is the most commonly found. Of the Superfast versions look out for a black and white boat on a blue trailer.
