Matchbox 34f; Chevy Pro-Stocker

A toy from the end of the Lesney years that carried on into the post-Lesney Matchbox period. The Chevrolet Prostocker, apparently based on a '75 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, was released in 1981. Most of the Lesney production was white with either no tampos or blue tampos consisting of blocking and stripes with RN 34, the base can be unpainted or red. Look for the tampos and a red base. There is a green version mentioned in Ramsay - and the value is very high, but it is not mentioned anywhere else and it may be a pro-production prototype.

Production continued under the new ownership for a period after Lesney stopped trading and there are a number of variations known.
