Matchbox 37c; Dodge Cattle Truck

The Dodge Cattle Truck (37c) was released in 1966 as a regular wheels item and spanned the change to Superfast which happened in 1970. The model was deleted in 1971. There should be two white plastic cows in the back.

The chassis/cab is always yellow, orange or orangey yellow and the back body ranges in shade between grey and brown. Versions to look out for are the regular wheels one with a silver plastic base, although this only attracts a tiny premium; worth a little more is the Superfast version with an Orange cab and silver back body or bright yellow cab with grey back body.

Another determinant of value is a casting change which happened in the life of the regular wheels version. Strengthening braces were added to the back of the chassis casting where it supports the rear box body, early releases without these braces get a small premium.
