Matchbox/Lesney 35d; Fandango

Matchbox 1-75 Range

Here we are again with another product of the imagination of the design team at Lesney and another car on the Rolamatics range. As you push this one along the fan or propeller on the rear deck rotates.

The car was introduced in 1975 and deleted in 1982, most of the examples that you will see are red, sometimes they are white (white was only made from 1975-77), most of them have a sticker on the bonnet with a tapering red white and blue stripe and racing number 35. Some of the white ones have the blue racing stripe from the Ford GT40, some of the later red models have a sun label on the bonnet. Beyond that there are a bewildering variety of base colours, window and interior colours, the fan on the rear deck can be red, blue or silver.

Values are based on the combination of the colours of these components. Here are some of the harder to find versions starting with the most scarce and working downwards: Red, red seats, red base, blue or silver propeller; red, white seats, unpainted base, blue propeller, sun label; red, purple windows, unpainted base, blue propeller - really you need to look them up.
