Matchbox 31b; American Ford Station Wagon

Following on from the earlier US Ford station wagon (31a) this update to the later Ford Fairlane was originally yellow like its predecessor and also without windows. First it got windows, then it got a new colour scheme in pale green metallic with a pale pink roof. Baseplates can be crimson or black and wheels can be grey, silver or black plastic. I like it. I remember it from my childhood, I think I even owned one. It is a fine piece of modelling.

The American Ford Station Wagon (31b) was released in 1960 and remained in the range until 1964. Look for yellow versions, worth a little more if they have windows, a lot more in yellow with windows and with silver plastic wheels. Among the green/pink ones look for black wheels / black baseplate.
