Matchbox/Lesney 59c; Ford Galaxie Fire Chief

This is the middle of three Fire Chief cars numbered 59 in the Matchbox series, stretching from 1963 right through to 1982 and beyond actually as the final version, the Mercury, remained in production after the Lesney Bankruptcy in 1982. This one, the Ford Galaxie Fire Chief car, 59c, was released in 1966 with regular wheels in black plastic. The car can be found with either a red or blue roof beacon. In 1970 it was converted to Superfast and deleted the following year.

The ones to look out for are the regular wheels version with the red roof beacon and a rare Superfast promo for Lyons Tea released only in the Netherlands and Belgium.
