Matchbox 6d; Ford Pickup Truck

This 5th generation Ford F Series pickup truck is the 1968 Ford model also released by Matchbox in 1968. The original truck was on black regular wheels and in 1970 it was converted to Superfast. Early Superfast examples have narrow wheels with later releases having wider 4mm wheels. The grille is silver plated on green plastic or unplated white plastic and both variations are found on regular wheels and on Superfast versions.

They are all red with a white canopy over the loadbed and not that common, especially with the canopy still in place. The rare versions are all Superfast and they have metallic green or unpainted bases, non-metallic green or grey bases are hard to find, black bases are the most commonly found.
