Matchbox/Lesney 46e; Ford Tractor & Harrow

There are two Ford 5000 tractors in the Matchbox range. The first is the early model 5000 without a cab and with separate tyres (39c). This is the later face-lift model of the Ford. The Matchbox 46e model always has a cab and was supplied originally with a yellow plastic disc harrow which on unboxed examples is invariably missing. There are two distinct castings, one has 'FORD' cast over the radiator, the other does not, the detail on the engine casting also differs.

There are also a number of differing colours of bodywork and interior, the engine/base casting is sometimes grey, sometimes silver and sometimes unpainted. There are also examples with coloured tampos on the wheel hubs. The tractor came into the range in 1978 and continued up to and beyond the change of ownership of the brand in 1983.

None of these is rare or attracts a premium
