Matchbox 39a; Ford Zodiac Convertible

The Zodiac Convertible was added to the range in 1957 and deleted in 1962. The bodywork is either dark or light peach and the baseplates are brown on early releases and later releases have shades of pale green and turquoise. Some early releases will have open quarter lights, but mostly these are cast over. There should be a driver figure, which is often missing.

The early brown base cars are hard to find and get a premium as do those with open quarter lights and silver plastic wheels.
