Matchbox/Lesney 72a; Fordson Tractor

The 72a Fordson Major Tractor was in the Lesney range from 1959 to 1966. It was always blue and the shades do vary a bit. The rear wheels are always plastic hubs with plastic tyres. The hubs can be orange or yellow with grey or black tyres. The front wheels are either plastic hubs with plastic tyres or all plastic, grey or black.

Yellow hub versions are very scarce and command high prices as do tractors with plastic hubs and tyres on the front. Orange rear hubs are fairly common. It is though a well modelled tractor, very nice.
