Matchbox/Lesney 66c; Greyhound Bus

Classic corrugated aluminium bus, familiar to us in the UK from the American movies. The Matchbox model is a truncated version of the real thing, the Scenicruiser, which has four sets of windows in the upper deck. It spanned the introduction of Superfast wheels and is always silver. Some have a yellow background to the Greyhound label.

The Coach, 66c, was introduced into the range in 1966. It was converted to Superfast in 1970 and deleted the following year. Superfast versions are slightly less common than regular wheels and among the Superfast models look out for yellow or pink baseplates. In the regular wheels version expect to pay a little more for clear windows versions.
