Matchbox/Lesney 67c; Ford Capri Hot Rocker

A very curious response to Mattel and Hot Wheels, taking the Capri and shoving in a massive V8 standing as high as the roof of the car, added to which, being a 'Rollamatic' the engine rocks as you push the car along. This casting makes three appearances, firstly as plain old Ford Capri and then this Hot Rocker and the same car done up as a US yellow cab called Maxi Taxi. Goodness what a strange looking car. It is found in metallic lime and metallic green, later it was metallic red and all three colours can be found with either plated or silver painted bases.

The Hot Rocker (67c) was released in 1973 in the two green shades until 1975 when it was recoloured red. Expect to pay a small premium for silver painted bases in any of the colours.
