Matchbox 14d; Iso Grifo Coupe

The blown-up pictures show the quality of the modelling. This is one of the better efforts from Matchbox in the late Sixties. The ISO Grifo Coupe, 14d, was introduced in 1968 with regular wheels, they were the ones with plated centres and black plastic tyres. In 1969 it was fitted with Superfast wheels. All of them have opening doors. You will see the car in various shades of blue with blue or white interiors.

There are some rarer ones to watch out for, in the either the regular wheels version or the Superfast version try to find a dark blue one with a white interior they are rarest, on the regular wheels version in light metallic blue with blue interior is hard to find. On narrow Superfast wheels the dark metallic blue with a blue interior gets a small premium. The wider wheels Superfast in mid blue with a white interior is the most common version.
