Matchbox 41a; Jaguar D-Type (55mm)

There are two D Types in the Lesney range. This is the first, released in 1957 and deleted in 1960. The early car is smaller at 55mm, the later one (41b) which replaced it is 65mm in length.

The 41a D Type is always racing green with metal or (later) plastic wheels. They are nearly all racing number 41, however it is known with number 52 and these get a very hefty premium.
