Matchbox/Lesney 53e; Jeep CJ6

Matchbox's version of the not very popular Jeep CJ6 which was a long wheelbase CJ5. I suppose Jeep thought that if Land-Rover can do a long one - so can they, the models, Land-Rover & Jeep, both came out in mid to late 50s, as I understand it the LWB Jeep never took off.

The matchbox CJ6 ran from 1977 to 1982 and is seen in green, red or yellow with either black or yellow seats. Red was the colour from 1977 to 1980; from 1981-1982 they were mainly green with a smaller number of pale yellow ones with CJ6 stickers. None is particularly rare or valuable but yellow ones tend to fetch a small premium.
