Matchbox/Lesney 62d; Mercury Cougar Dragster

Take the Mercury Cougar sedan which had been released with regular wheels in 1968 and converted to Superfast in 1970. then in 1971 give it a makeover by giving it oversized rear wheels, a plated exposed V8 engine and fun, hot rod stickers on the sides and some bright and whacky colours and you have an extra three years of life.

For the first year they were yellow/green and afterwards lime green. Most have Rat Rod side labels. The ones to look for are any of the yellow-green ones, silver painted baseplates and Wild Cat instead of Rat Rod labels
