This is a transitional model that was first a regular wheels Lesney, converted to Superfast and lives on in the post Lesney era

The Porsche 928 is a grand tourer automobile sold by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995, during which time it was one of their most expensive offerings. In 1983 the 928S with 5-speed manual transmission and 4.7L-16v M28/19 engine was the fastest car sold in North America, at 146 mph.

Matchbox introduced their 928 in 1980. The first releases were metallic brown, there are a lot of variations of interior and windows colours on these cars. For 1981-2 it was recoloured metallic blue with variations in base colour; black, grey or silver. For 1982-3 it was recoloured again to black with Porsche tampos. Production continued under the new ownership and the post Lesney colours are many and various.
