Matchbox 44a; Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud
One of these was in my toybox
when I was a kid. They are always silvery metallic blue and can be lighter
or darker. The wheels are either metal, grey plastic or silver plastic.
That's your lot I'm afraid in terms of variety. It's a stylish and
stately car though and I'd really like to have a nice one - I'll keep an
eye out I think.
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud,
44a, was first sold in 1958 and was replaced by a Rolls-Royce Phantom V
in 1964, so it had a good long run which probably explains why there are
no super-rare versions. Plastic wheels are generally a little higher
priced than metal except where the axles have crimped ends, these latter
cars being the most desirable. |
