Matchbox 28d; Mack Dump Truck
There are lots of rodents
around in the Lesney military armoured cars. There is the Ferret and the
Weasel, here is the Stoat. While the Ferret was a model of a very
long-lived Daimler scout car and the Weasel was a tolerable four wheel
copy of the Alvis Saladin, this is a pure figment of the imagination of
some designer in the Lesney works at Enfield back in the early
seventies. It even has the rear window casting from the Lamborghini
Marzal. Hmmm.
The regular stand-alone model
was metallic gold with either an unpainted or black baseplate. This
model is a 'Rollamatic' in which the man in the cupola rotates as you
push it along - joy - later releases were in twin-packs and these are
military green. They are not really rare or sought after which means
values are low, olive drab gets a small premium. |
