Matchbox 28b; Ford Thames Trader Compressor

The Thames Trader compressor truck followed the Big Bedford compressor truck into the No. 28 slot in 1959 and remained in production until 1964. It is always yellow. The variations are in the wheels which can be either fine tread or knobbly black plastic or they can be grey. Fine tread black are the commonest with knobbly black just a little harder to find. Grey wheels are very rare indeed and hence will fetch big bucks.
