Strictly speaking it is a DB2 MkIII. An Aston Martin DB3 is a racing roadster developed to compete at Le Mans, however this car has become known in retrospect as a DB3 and in the book Fleming consistently refers to it as such. Bond is taken to the car pool at MI6 and offered a choice between this car and  Jaguar 3.4, a Mk1 it would have been at the time as featured in the TV series Endeavour, for his trip to play a round of golf with Goldginger. He chose the Aston  because it was up to date, fast and had certain extras namely: switches to alter the colour and type of front and rear lights, reinforced steel bumpers, a Colt .45 pistol in a trick compartment under the seat and concealed stowage compartments. We know the colour was grey. The car below came from an amazing collection of hand-builds and the modeller has taken care to get the car right.
