What a nice little model, but little is the word here. It is tiny. This is one of a set of really finely modelled British cars from the early-mid sixties. The Dinky Herald, Morris 1100, Hillman Imp, Singer Vogue. They were really very good.
There are a number of versions to look out for, usually it is pale turquoise with red seats and a good one of these will always get a good price. Slightly rarer and pushing the price up a bit is blue seats. There is a very rare UK commemorative issue in very pale green which was issued by Ford for their new plant on Merseyside in 1963. For these to get full value though they need the correct mailing box. The top prices are for South African issues in bi-lingual English/Afrikaans boxes. These are caramel, off-white, pale blue or grey/blue.
Since Harry Potter of course the Anglias got a bit silly in terms of price, hence the scruffy nature of this one - it was cheap and since I bought it I've thoroughly cleaned it, got rid of a lot of moulding flash and replaced the tyres with the correct ones, it still looks a bit rough though...
