Pretty
little model of the early Herald with the big chrome handle on the
bonnet, white plastic bumpers and none of that aluminium trim that
turned up later
Introduced at the 1959 London Motor Show, the Triumph Herald was a
revolutionary design featuring distinctive Italian styling by Michelotti
of Vignale. The Herald appeared with a number of engine sizes ranging
from the basic 948cc unit to the 1296cc engine of the final version, the
Herald 13/60, which appeared in 1967. Over the same period, Herald
variants other than the standard saloon included convertible, coupé, van and
estate car versions. |
